A carer can get quite a shock when the dementia sufferer they are looking after suddenly wanders off. Of course the carer can check the sufferer’s whereabouts on a computer but that assumes a computer is to hand. (Sods’ Law springs to mind!)
Mindme’s Response Centre is available to carers 24/7. An operator will answer the call for assistance, will give the carer the most up-to date location details and, if the carer needs it, will ask one of the sufferer’s registered contacts to assist the carer by collecting the sufferer. In exceptional cases the Response Centre might ask the assistance of the Police.
Mindme's Emergency Response Centre is operated by Chichester Careline which was established in 1985 and has over 20,000 customers. Its team is highly trained and experienced and looks after people from all walks of life; from older or disabled people with their special needs to lone workers, or people who are subject to domestic violence who may live in fear of their lives.
Chichester Careline is an accredited member of the Telecare Services Association. If you would like to know more about Careline, and what they do, please click on their logo below.
