The Emergency Response Centre

Part of the ERC. Each day the Centre receives 100's of
calls and over 90% are answered within 30 seconds.

When a Mindme alarm is activated it sends a message to the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) telling it who you are and where you are. The information appears on an Operator’s screen and your location will be accurate to within a few metres.

Then Mindme makes a voice call to the ERC and a Response Team Operator will answer the call and listen into the incident and assess the problem. If it’s safe and possible you should talk to the Operator.

The Operator will summon the appropriate emergency service for you or if you’ve given special instructions about action to be taken in the event of an emergency then these will be followed. Either way the incident will not be closed until the Response Team is satisfied you’re safe. Finally, we’ll inform your employer or a relation or friend that you have been involved in an incident and where you are.

Mindme's Emergency Response Centre is operated by Chichester Careline which was established in 1985 and has over 20,000 customers. Its team is highly trained and experienced and looks after people from all walks of life; from older or disabled people with their special needs to lone workers, or people who are subject to domestic violence who may live in fear of their lives.
